  1. In all of the versions it declares money is the root of an evil, everyone strives for money, and it cause people grief or sorrow. Money is both good and bad. Money is good because it provides society with a method of trading in a widely-accepted form. Money allows us to make purchases, run businesses, and make investments. However, money is bad because you become obsessed, crazed and lose focus and direction on the more important things in life. You become insane, selfish and lack compassion with strive to have money. You start to become paranoid and it begins to consume your life.

  2. Money used in the wrong way is often called the root of all evil. Money brings people power and with a lot of power in hand people become corrupt. Those who do not have a lot of money and crave it in a covetous way will only end up with burdens on his shoulder. Money can easily become an idol that man worships in that there is sin. Sin will only bring pain and suffering. Money itself is not bad it itself is only paper but the way some people long for it and use it is what is evil. Money is a currency that keeps balance to the world that is why it is good. It sustains families and can bring joy when used correctly.

  3. Money can cause good but can also cause harm. Money can be an advantage if it is used for appropriate matters such as clinical trials for an incurable disease or for a specific charity. Money can be good if it one uses it for better education for their child. Money is not evil unless one gets so caught up in the money that they forget to be grateful for what nonmaterial things they have. Money is not harmful just because someone decides to spoil themselves with material things every once in a while. Money is harmful when the person gaining it forgets who they were before the money came along.

  4. Each version of the quote is similar with different wording; the ideas are identical. People of the world are dependent on money because it provides all of life’s essential needs. Bills, clothes, food, etc. are all paid for with money. Too much money and not enough money can get the best of people. People with too much money think that they can buy anything they want, at any cost; people with too little money go to extremes, trying to get money to provide the essentials needed to live. Those who say that money isn’t a priority in today’s society are completely insane or have a pocket full of money themselves.

  5. Money is a fabulous distraction from life as well as the important things in life. It provides an excuse to stray from what is considered to be right, true, and proper. It gives one great amounts of freedom and provides corrupted opportunities, which will unfortunately be taken up by most people. Money tends to blur the lines between right and wrong as the owner of the money feels immense power and freedom to do as he or she pleases. Others might befriend the rich in order to take advantages of their wealth, causing great pain to the owner once the truth is revealed. I disagree that actual money is the root of all evil, but instead that irresponsible use of money is the root of evil.

  6. Although money is a necessity for modern day society, its meaning can drive people to insanity. Money buys us clothes, water, food, and gives us incentives to do jobs that must be done to function properly as a civilization. The Bible verse 1 Timothy 6:10 is written in many different ways, but they all carry the same message. The message is money is “a root of all kinds of evil”. This is due to its ability to cause people to leave sight of faith, or what really matters in life. The verse says that this will cause people “pangs”, “sorrow”, “grief”, and “pain”. Timothy 6:10 means that if you lose sight of what is really important and only focus on materialistic wants, you will suffer, even though you might live lavishly.

  7. Money can be a symbol of success and hard work to some that have worked hard for their money. It can allow people to give money to ones in need and share the wealth in a good productive way, not losing insight in what their truing living for. It can cause people to change and be evil, some start to want more and more money and do not know when to stop. It causes relationships and people that are important to get pushed to the side for ones own greed. People lose focuss and insight on what got them the money. Worldly things begin to consume their lives until it gets boring. When the money rush is over and one has eveything they ever wanted they yearn for ones love and the healing of relationships they lost.

  8. In 1 Timothy 6:10 of the King James Bible it states, “For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
Many people often misquote this statement and say, “money is the root of all evil” but it reads the love of money. Money in itself is neither good nor bad; it is just an object that individuals place a value on. That’s why poor people as well as rich people can be obsessed with money. It tends to take our focus off what is really important, love, God, friends, family. It is trying to teach us to pursue things with a pure heart and not allow money to become an idol. It warns us if we allow money to be our center of affection it will cause us many problems in life.

  9. Money can be good but also bad. You need money to survive and to be healthy. Money may not make you happy but you need it for the basic necessities for life. Money gives you water, shelter and food. However, money can make you greedy. The Bible quote Timothy 6:10 say “some people, eager for money.” It is good to be eager for money because if you are not you, you can’t support yourself or your family. But being too eager can be bad because you become greedy and do not focus on the real meaning of life.

  10. Money has always been at the root of good and evil. Money is obviously used for us to be able to sustain life but the craving of more and more money tends to get us into trouble. Ways to make money can get us into trouble. If money was not the factor of the modern day life that we all strive for; then what would we strive for? We all strive to have more money which isn’t always a good thing in my opinion. Money is the basics of our lives. Without money you wouldn’t live. So why do we take money and turn it in to something so bad? Well the demand for money is only going up in the world, we can’t sustain the demand for it as much as we used too.

  11. The love for money can be for good and evil. I believe what it is trying to say is that money can lead you to doing evil things to just get ahold of it, that is why it is considered the root of evil. Yet if you don’t stray from the path good it could lead to a prosperous life. Yes we all need money to stay afloat and to be healthy, yet it should not be the center of our lives and what we only focused on.

  12. Many things can go wrong with the power of money. It can take over someones life in an instant and that is why it is often called the root of all evil. Money can be a good thing when used for good. As long as one does not get "addicted" per-say, money can be a good thing. But many tend to let it take over their life and control every second of it. They worship money and get to a point where money is all they think about. That's when money becomes toxic, that is when money becomes the root of all evil.

  13. Money can’t buy happiness but surely buys pleasure. I think that in order for a person to be happy it just needs another person, a special person to be around them and not money. Although, many people think that money buys everything and once they become rich (if they are not) they will be very happy because they can surround themselves with all the pleasure that mother earth can give but they are wrong and the disappointed can be drastic. Disappointments can brink nothing but sadness and sometimes evil acts.

  14. Each version is the same in that it says money is the root of all evil and that it can take people away from their faith and cause them pain. The evil in money comes from how it is obtained and how it changes a person. If a person is immoral or unethical in obtaining money then it is evil. Money can bring out the worst in people. I have seen people change dramatically from obtaining money. It can be a great distraction which is why the quote warns that it can take you one away from their faith.
